Following on from recent leaks, Ubisoft has begun teasing a major Ghost Recon update arriving in August.
Over the last week, rumours of a Ghost Recon Wildlands Definitive Edition have been doing the rounds. The game is expected to re-release on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles with support for 60FPS gameplay, as well as a brand-new mission.
The Definitive Edition is also said to include all previous season pass content and cosmetic packs, such as the Deluxe Pack. While the headline feature here is an upgrade to 60FPS on console, we expect that the Definitive Edition package will also be available to PC players.
Ubisoft has not yet confirmed that the Definitive Edition is legit, but the publisher did say that it will have a Ghost Recon announcement on August 6th to celebrate the series' 25th anniversary.
KitGuru Says: Given that Ghost Recon is hitting 25 years, I hope that Ubisoft will have a little more to announce, beyond the new Definitive Edition for Wildlands. A new Ghost Recon game would be great to see, even if it is just a teaser.
