Xbox will host its largest booth ever at Gamescom this year

While Sony has confirmed that it will be skipping Gamescom again this year, Xbox is looking to take advantage by hosting its largest booth ever at the event. We aren't going to get another huge showcase of announcements at Gamescom, but fans can expect to see more from World of Warcraft, Diablo, Obsidian's upcoming RPG, Avowed, and more.

Nine of the major games that will feature prominently throughout the Xbox section at Gamescom will include Age of Mythology: Retold, Avowed, Ara: History Untold, Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, Diablo Immortal, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Towerborne and World of Warcraft: The War Within.

Xbox has also teased that there is ‘more to come', so we may see a few more major games confirmed. One prominent candidate not currently listed would be Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is also scheduled to release later this year, but does not have an exact date yet, similarly to Obsidian's Avowed, which is also due out later this year.

With E3 stopping several years ago, many publishers have turned to Gamescom, putting more effort and budget into their booths at the annual event in Germany, despite Summer Game Fest positioning itself as the ‘E3 replacement'.
