MSI debuts new Raider and Crosshair gaming laptops

MSI has refreshed its gaming laptop lineup with redesigned Raider and Crosshair models and updated 18‑inch systems, all now powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA’s RTX 50‑series GPUs. The new designs focus on higher sustained power, improved thermals, and quieter operation across multiple chassis sizes.

The new Raider 16 Max and Raider 16 headline the update, delivering up to 300W of combined CPU and GPU power. MSI’s redesigned Cooler Boost Trinity with Intra Flow system uses up to three fans, six heat pipes and five exhaust vents, enabling the laptops to sustain high performance while keeping fan noise under 50 dBA. A more compact motherboard layout creates space for larger fans and a slimmer chassis, while a quick‑access upgrade panel allows memory and SSD upgrades by removing just two screws. The Raider series also features a 2.5K 240Hz OLED display with DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. The Raider 16 Max HX is available now at Micro Center starting at $1,999.

The Crosshair 16 Max and Crosshair 16 adopt a thinner 21.9mm chassis—around 14% slimmer than the previous generation—while increasing total system power to 200W. Cooling is handled by dual fans, five heat pipes and four exhaust vents. The laptops include a 2.5K 165Hz OLED display and a full I/O selection, with HDMI and RJ‑45 relocated to the rear for cleaner cable management.

MSI has also updated its 18‑inch Titan 18, Raider 18 Max and Stealth 18 models, which now deliver up to 220W of CPU power. The Titan 18 features a 4K 240Hz Mini LED display with 1,000‑nit peak brightness and a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

Rounding out the lineup, the redesigned Cyborg 15 Max increases GPU TGP to 100W for a total system power of 130W, supported by dual fans, three heat pipes and phase‑change thermal material. The series now includes a 144Hz FHD display with full sRGB coverage, USB‑C with 100W charging, rear I/O for improved cable routing, and a 2kg, 21mm‑thick chassis aimed at entry‑level gaming.
