According to the company high grade components are used throughout, which goes some way to justify the high asking price (£369.99 for the 1,200 watt and £419.99 for the 1,500 watt). As you may already guessed by the price points these are the German company's flagship units.

Seasonic PRIME TX-650 Titanium PSU (2020)

This model measures 150 x 86 x 170 mm (W x H x D) and is equipped with a 135mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan (FDB) which can operate in semi passive mode. This is a flagship Seasonic supply, priced at around £185 in the United Kingdom. Titanium rated power supplies are expensive, but guarantee maximum efficiency ratings. The single rail is rated to 54A and Seasonic cover this unit with a substantial 12 year warranty.

FSP Hydro PTM Pro 1200W

It has been quite some time since we looked at a new supply from FSP, so when they offered us a model from their PTM Pro range I was excited to see what they had to offer in 2020. This new model is Platinum certified, fully modular and incorporates Japanese capacitors. FSP are also offering a 10 year warranty with these new power supplies.

Corsair RM1000x

Corsair's RM1000x is a very complete package, load regulation is solid, and it dealt with our cross load test without any difficulty. Efficiency levels are excellent, and ripple suppression is stellar across the board. There are no discernible technical weaknesses with this unit that would cause us any concern.
