The Metal Gear 2014 collection is actually just a fashion line

Last week, Hideo Kojima teased a new ‘Metal Gear Collection' for release this year, most gamers were expecting an updated HD collection of past titles for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Unfortunately, what we actually got was wildly different, the Metal Gear Collection 2014 is actually just a fashion line.

The Metal Gear 2014 collection comes with some figurines, a leather jacket, a phone case and some mystery items in a box. A massively underwhelming announcement considering we were hoping for past Metal Gear games to come to the PC platform. However, we did get something good out of TGS, we have some new Metal Gear Solid V footage- which IS coming to the PC: [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9-ooON8YWU']

In addition, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been confirmed for a 2015 release. No exact date was given but it will arrive next year at some point. In the mean time, console owners can play Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, which will also be coming to the PC platform soon.

KitGuru Says: While the Metal Gear collection announcement was a huge disappointment, the new Phantom Pain footage looks pretty good. Have any of you guys been following the TGS announcements today?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.

Is this my chance to purchase a selection of fashion forward eye patches?

  3. This is the one product I wouldn’t mind endorsing with the creation of their fashion line, Every gamer and his dad wants XOF shirts, Diamond Dogs jackets and an eyepatch.
