USB cable for future iOS devices spotted

There has been several leaks in the past few weeks of the upcoming next generation iPhone and highly rumoured iPad mini's dock connectors yet this is the first look we have seen at the cable itself.

All future iOS devices are expected to use this specific cable and associated dock connector. This refreshed cable has nine pins instead of the current cable's 30, which essentially means it is much smaller. It is unknown if the new connector will have new and unique abilities.

Also those who are worried about compatibility issues with current accessories won't have to worry too much as they will apparently ship with an adapter for existing accessories.

KitGuru says: In all honesty, Apple should just switch to Micro USB just like every other mobile manufacturer.
