‘Journey’ leading Spike Video Game Awards nominees

The downloadable game ‘Journey' is leading the pack of nominees for this year's Spike Video Game Awards.

The Playstation 3 game has received many accolades since it was released and it has been nominated in several categories including those for graphics, independent game, game of the year and original score.

Journey - the fantastic downloadable game available for Playstation 3

The other games in the ‘game of the year' category are ‘Dishonored', ‘Mass Effect 3', ‘Assassins Creed 3' and ‘The Walking Dead: The Game'. All great titless.

The nominees in ‘best shooter' category are ‘Halo 4', ‘Max Payne 3', ‘Borderlands 2' and ‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2'. Personally my vote would go to Max Payne 3.

Kitguru says: The 10th annual ceremony will be running on December 7th and is hosted by Samuel L. Jackson and broadcast live on Spike. Tenacious D and Linkin Park are said to be appearing.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
