Massive game collection sells on ebay for $1,225,599.99

Are you an avid games collector? Have you spent a lot of your salary in the last couple of years chasing many of the classic game titles for last generation consoles? Then this story will appeal to you.

A rather wealthy ebayer decided to list his collection online, and it sold for a staggering $1,225,599.99.

The chap was selling 22 fullsets at once. All games ever released on Nintendo home systems, from the Famicom to Gamecube. He also listed all games ever released on the Sega and NEC systems. We gave up trying to count how many games the collection included, but he has a wealth of pictures posted to give a good indication!

I can't even copy and paste his game list as it is that long! I would imagine this is the biggest game collection of all time, although I could be wrong. The shipping alone cost one thousand euros.

Its too late to bid now (!), but you can check out his full listing over here.

Kitguru says: I have a lot of SNES games, but my little collection is embarrassing after reading this auction.

Insider claims Call of Duty could see a massive shake-up including no more annual releases

For pretty much its entire existence, Call of Duty has operated using a familiar model, with the FPS franchise seeing a brand new title released on an annual basis from one of the 3 core COD studios. While this has worked in the past, Black Ops 7 seems to have been a breaking point for some. According to known insiders, Microsoft is now considering a major shake-up, including a standalone Zombies game.
