The Stanley Parable, Need for Speed and Suicide Squad come to PlayStation Plus

The first wave of PlayStation Plus games have been announced for 2025. Starting on January 7th, PS+ Essential subscribers will get access to three more games, including a Need for Speed classic and the biggest failed live-service game of 2024 (no, not Concord). 

Starting on January 7th, PS+ Essential (or higher tier) subscribers will get to claim Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launched in February 2024 and while there was a brief period of positivity surrounding graphics and gameplay, the end-game content was left sorely lacking and the additional ‘seasonal' content failed to keep fans engaged with the game in the long-term. As a result, the game is set to be updated with an offline mode and development on all future content will stop. The game is still worth claiming just to blast through the campaign, which does have some high moments for DC fans. Overall, the game left a $200 million hole in WB Games' balance sheet last year.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is another newer game joining the PS+ library. This is a revamped version of The Stanley Parable with more levels, dialogue, graphical upgrades and more. It is well worth playing for both first-timers and those who have already tried the original version.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit first released in 2010 and is best known for its police chase mechanics. The game was remastered in 2020 for Xbox, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
