Humble’s ‘Best of Boomer Shooters’ bundle available now

Humble Bundles typically offer a strong line-up of titles for a relatively low price, letting you get your hands on a thematically-linked set of games while supporting charity. Humble’s latest bundle is focused entirely on late 90s nostalgia.

Available for the next 3 weeks, the ‘Best of Boomer Shooters’ bundle is offered in just one form. Paying £14.02 will net you all 7 of the following games:

  • Ultrakill
  • Turbo Overkill
  • Quake 2
  • Prodeus
  • Deadlink
  • Forgive Me Father 2
  • Postal Brain Damaged Connesiuer Edition

Many of the included titles feature inventive gameplay to elevate their more simple graphical styles.

Ultrakill for example is an ‘ultra’ fast and violent Boomer Shooter with a heavy focus on earning points – not too dissimilar to character-action spectacle fighters like Devil May Cry.

Prodeus meanwhile offers a gorgeous interpretation of old school graphics with sci-fi aesthetics alongside gameplay which “invoke the tech-imposed limits of older hardware.”

As always, a portion of the money raised will go to charity, with this bundle helping both the Child’s Play Charity and The Trevor Project.

KitGuru says: What do you think of Boomer Shooters? Do you enjoy the aesthetic? What is your favourite game in the sub-genre? Let us know down below.
