Forza Horizon 5 to be the next former Xbox exclusive on PS5

Earlier this year, Microsoft made the decision to start putting some of its exclusive games on rival console platforms, like PS5 and Nintendo Switch. It seems the next game to make the jump from exclusive to multi-plat is on the horizon…

Multiple sources are now claiming that Xbox will be announcing its next PS5 game next week. Insider Gaming, eXtas1s and Shinobi are all claiming that the new multi-plat release will be announced during the week of Gamescom.

While some of those sources have been hesitant to actually name the game, eXtas1s, who has made a name for themselves in the leaking scene over the past year thanks to consistently accurate information, the game will be Forza Horizon 5. However, Windows Centrals' Jez Corden disputes this, saying that while a new port is being announced next week, it may not necessarily be Playground Games' open-world racer.

Forza Horizon has been one of the shining jewels in the Xbox library over the past two console generations. As a sports game, it may make more sense as a multiplatform game, especially considering the prices of some of the licenses involved for cars and music.

KitGuru Says: Forza Horizon 5 is the most recent game in the series, set in an open-world version of Mexico with different weather events, biomes and seasonal map changes. It was highly rated on PC and Xbox, so if it does end up on PS5, we'd expect it to garner praise there too.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
