Valorant is now available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S

After a week of open beta testing, Riot is today rolling out Valorant on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The game is officially available as of today, with all maps, characters, modes and features in place.

Valorant on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 is available as a free download in North America, Europe, Japan and Brazil. It is Riot's very first live-service console game, after years of primarily being a PC developer. While console players on Xbox or PlayStation will be able to play with each other, PC gamers will not be matched with console gamers in order to maintain competitive integrity. Due to the more sluggish nature of gamepad controls, PC gamers often have an advantage in shooters due to the more granular and speedy control offered by a mouse.

Moving forward, all Valorant updates will land on PC and console platforms simultaneously, so there won't be a situation where PC players get a new map or playable character and console gamers have to wait.

While Valorant is a free to play game, it is supported by a seasonal battle pass, as well as a skin shop, where players can buy single or packs of weapon skins.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
