Sony cuts PS VR2 prices in UK and US

With PC support coming to PlayStation VR2 headsets next month, Sony has ushered in a price cut. Right now, the PS VR2 headset is down to its lowest price since launch, dropping down to $350 in the US and £350 in the UK. 

Amazon has already sold out of its PS VR2 stock at this price, leaving just the more expensive headset + Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle, which is going for a whopping £589.99. Considering the reviews of that game, we would recommend steering clear of that bundle at its current price tag. Currently at Smyths, the headset is down to £329.99.

This makes the PS VR2 headset cheaper than the new Meta Quest 3, which often goes for £450 and up, depending on the model. However, you will also need either a PS5 or a PC with the PS VR2 app installed and an additional £50 adapter, in order to make use of the PS VR2 headset, while the Meta Quest 3 is a standalone device.

In the US, some stores have also dropped the price of the headset down to $350. So far, Sony has done very little to boost adoption of its new VR headset, with no future first-party games announced.
