FFVII: Ever Crisis hits 7.77 million downloads

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is a mobile-focused compilation of the classic Final Fantasy VII alongside its many spin-offs (Advent Children; Before Crisis; Crisis Core and more). Having officially launched on the 7th of September for Android and iOS – before being added to Steam in December – the free-to-play game has reached a new milestone, passing 7.77 million downloads.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the official Ever Crisis account said “We've Hit 7.77 Million Downloads! As a token of our appreciation, we are pleased to present a commemorative illustration from character illustrator Risa Fujise! Thank you for your continued support of #FF7EC!”

Reviews for the game on Steam are currently mixed, with many users voicing their frustrations with the game’s monetisation. That said, if you go into it with managed expectations, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Unfortunately it probably won’t be enough to quell any FOMO regarding FFVII Rebirth’s impending release.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
