Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta content announced

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is on the way this year and as usual, Activision will hold a big multiplatform beta ahead of time, giving everyone an opportunity to check out the new game a little early. Ahead of the beta weekends planned for this month, Activision has also revealed playable content. 

As reported by Insider Gaming, the Modern Warfare 3 beta will begin on the 6th of October, with a second beta weekend arriving the following week. The first date will be for those who have already pre-ordered the game, while the second date should be a full open beta, available to all on all platforms.

As confirmed by the multiplayer trailer, we know which maps will be included in the beta too. Players can expect to dive back into maps like Favela, Skidrow, Estate, Rust and Highrise during the beta. In the case of Highrise, this map will only be available during the second beta weekend.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will officially launch on November 10th with a new campaign and new multiplayer maps. A month or so after launch, Call of Duty: Warzone will also be refreshed with a new map.
