Elden Ring has shipped over 23 million copies

Elden Ring quickly became by far FromSoftware’s biggest success following its release in February 2022 – where the game managed to sell over 12 million copies within its first few weeks on the market. With the official announcement of its long-anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, the team have revealed that Elden Ring has now shipped over 23 million copies.

Making the announcement via a press release, the team at publisher Bandai Namco said:

“Combining the development capabilities of FromSoftware and the marketing power of Bandai Namco Entertainment's overseas network, this title has been played by fans around the world since its release on February 25, 2022, and has shipped more than 23 million units worldwide.”

Most recent sales figures prior put the game at having sold 20 million copies – announced back in February of last year.

So while the sales for Elden Ring have certainly slowed down, 23 million copies is still a massive amount – plus with the long-awaited DLC finally set to drop in June, the game will likely hit the 25 million figure sooner rather than later.
