Dead by Daylight is finally getting a Friday the 13th DLC

A few years ago due to licensing issues, the Friday the 13th game officially shut down. However, fans of multiplayer horror games will soon see Jason Vorhees again – this time in Dead by Daylight.

Over the years, Dead by Daylight has added a ton of iconic horror movie characters to the game as DLC, including collaborations for Scream, Nightmare on Elm Street, Alien and more. Now, as part of the Dead by Daylight 10-year anniversary celebration, Friday the 13th's Jason Vorhees is confirmed as a new DLC character for the game.

Unlike Friday the 13th The Game, fans don't have to worry about the license expiring here and the DLC going away for good. Behaviour Interactive has always been very forward-thinking with its partnerships and has managed to keep all previous DLCs available without issue.

Fans can get their hands on the Dead by Daylight x Friday the 13th DLC starting on May 26th.

KitGuru Says: This isn't something that could happen before due to the competing Friday the 13th game, but now with that game shut down and no longer available for sale, Behaviour Interactive has finally had its opportunity to bring Jason into DBD.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
