FromSoftware is expanding for multiple new projects

FromSoftware has become hugely successful over the past decade, with the continuation of the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Sekiro and of course, its most beloved game yet, Elden Ring. Now, FromSoftware appears to be ramping up investment in development, with a large-scale recruitment phase underway.

FromSoftware is currently on a hiring spree, as spotted by IGN Japan. The developer is looking to fill roles for everything from planning, design and art, to programming, sound design and PR. Notably, FromSoftware is also hiring for multiple new projects, so it looks to be setting up multiple teams, possibly in an effort to release games more frequently.

Of course, FromSoftware is a Japanese studio, so it will mainly be looking for employees living in Japan. FromSoftware does not appear to be expanding overseas.

It will be a while until FromSoftware's next big game release but in the meantime, we are due to get a big Elden Ring expansion in early 2024 and Armored Core 6 just launched recently as well.

KitGuru Says: It will be interesting to see what FromSoft does next. Elden Ring was a huge success, so I wonder if we'll see a direct sequel or another new IP.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
