Paradox’s Europa Universalis IV is now available for free on EGS

Each week Epic Games gives away free titles through its store, a strategy that has greatly helped Epic boost its user numbers for the store. This week's free titles are now available, including Paradox's 2021 grand strategy game, Europa Universalis IV.

Paradox is well known for its strategy games and city builders. Europa Universalis IV is a complex simulation of the early modern world, inviting players to master the arts of war, politics and trade. If you are a strategy game fan, then this one should keep you busy for many hours.

The second free game available this week is Orwell: Keeping an Eye on You, an indie title developed by Osmotic Studios. In this game, players will act as ‘big brother', investigating the lives of citizens to root out those behind a string of terror attacks.

Both games will be free until the 17th of August. On that date, they will be replaced by Black Book and Dodo Peak.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
