Megan Fox and Travis Scott reportedly coming to Mortal Kombat 1

After months of leaks and rumours, Mortal Kombat 1 was officially announced. Alongside a reboot of the series, the upcoming fighting game will include a number of interesting real-life celebrities. Following the official announcement that Jean-Claude Van Damme will be playable in MK1, one insider has claimed that he will be joined by the likes of Travis Scott and Megan Fox.

As reported by long-time industry pundit Colin Moriarty, during the PlayStation-themed ‘Sacred Symbols’ podcast, Moriarty claimed that the same source who informed him of Van Damme’s inclusion ahead of the official announcement also revealed that rapper Travis Scott and actor Megan Fox are planned to be included in Mortal Kombat 1.

As of right now it is unclear whether the two celebrities will be included as alternate skins for other characters (such as is the case with Van Damme) or whether they will be their own unique fighters – though it is likely the former.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Mortal Kombat has included familiar famous faces, with Mk11 including the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator. Still, if true, it will be highly interesting to see Megan Fox and Travis Scott ripping spines and tearing off heads.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
