Nicolas Cage is coming to Dead by Daylight

We've seen tons of videogame + celebrity crossovers in recent years. Renowned basketball player, Kevin Durant, recently arrived as an operator in Call of Duty, we've seen live concerts put on by artists in Fortnite, Keanu Reeves recently starred in Cyberpunk 2077 and now, in the most unexpected crossover possible, Nicolas Cage is coming to Dead by Daylight.

While Dead by Daylight typically focuses on licensed crossovers with other horror franchises, like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Stranger Things, SAW, Scream and a ton of others, this is the first time we've seen Behaviour try something completely unexpected.

Nicolas Cage will arrive as a playable character in Dead by Daylight this year. The short teaser trailer gives us a look at his character model and in the voiceover, we hear Cage saying “I can shape the fabric of reality, transforming everything you may think you know”. While unconfirmed, this may indicate that he will be a killer rather than a survivor character. In a perfect world, he'd be playable as both with different sets of abilities and a slightly different skin for each version.

The Dead by Daylight team will fully unveil the Nicolas Cage DLC on the 5th of July, so expect more details then, assuming nothing leaks ahead of time.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
