PS5 launch title The Pathless finally comes to Xbox and Switch

One of the most exciting titles released alongside the PlayStation 5 in November of 2020 was The Pathless – a momentum-based open world title which would see you take on the role of a “master of archery who travels to a mystical island to dispel a curse of darkness that grips the world”. After spending more than 2 years on the platform, The Pathless is finally coming to both Xbox and the Nintendo Switch.

Making the announcement on Twitter, Annapurna Interactive – the game’s publisher – said “The Pathless from @GiantSquidology is coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox on February 2nd.”

For the uninitiated, The Pathless is developed by the same team behind ABZU and represents their biggest game yet, offering an open world title which in and of itself is fun to traverse thanks to the game’s level design, mechanics and visuals – all which work in tandem to make a game worth playing.

While a PS5 launch title, The Pathless is a highly scalable title – being already available for mobile devices through Apple Arcade. As such, hopefully the Switch port ends up looking and running well. Luckily we don’t have long to wait in order to find out.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
