Nintendo returns to Gamescom 2026

When E3 died years back, Nintendo didn't do many convention appearances, instead opting to focus on its digital Nintendo Direct and Nintendo Treehouse streams. That changed in 2025 with Nintendo returning to the convention circuit, with a big appearance at Gamescom 2025. Now, Nintendo has confirmed plans to return this year.

Nintendo will indeed be at Gamescom 2026. The event, which is the largest gaming convention in the world, is set to take place once again this August, from the 26th to the 30th. Nintendo will have active booths and play spaces for all four days.

Considering recent rumours, there is a good chance that fans will get hands on with upcoming Switch 2 games like Star Fox and new AAA ports for the system. While Nintendo will be at Gamescom, we are not expecting any game announcements. Instead, we expect Nintendo to host its own Direct showcase in June or July, well before the event.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
