Final Fantasy 16 ‘basic development and scenario production’ already completed

We recently heard that Final Fantasy XVI's development might be further along than expected. Now, it appears that Square Enix is confirming just that, with a new recruitment page indicating that a good chunk of the game is already finished.

As spotted by Games Talk, a new recruitment page has appeared on the Square Enix careers website. Part of the recruitment pitch for additional Final Fantasy XIV devs explains that basic development and scenario production is already complete.

Here is the full quote: “We have already completed basic development and scenario production, and are continuing to create large-scale resources and build boss battles while expanding our various development tools”. The page also confirms that Square Enix developers are still carrying out their work remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Final Fantasy XVI does not have a release date yet, but with the way things are going, we could get an announcement on that front next year.

KitGuru Says: It will be interesting to see more of Final Fantasy XVI and hear more about its development. Things seem to be moving pretty fast for this game, which is a nice change of pace compared to Final Fantasy XV.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
