Microsoft Flight Simulator crowned biggest launch game ever for Xbox Game Pass on PC

Xbox Game Pass has had some major launches over the years, but very few of those have been exclusive to PC. At this point, Microsoft Flight Simulator seems to be the biggest success story for Game Pass on PC so far, with the launch drawing in over one million players.

Microsoft Flight Simulator launched on August 18th across Steam, the Microsoft Store and of course, Xbox Game Pass for PC. The Game Pass version alone has garnered over one million players so far, all of which have collectively embarked on over 26 million flights.

The longest flight to date has clocked in at 10.39 hours, travelling over 7,623 kilometres. In total, pilots on Game Pass have flown over 1.1 billion miles across Microsoft's recreation of Earth. If you wanted to know the most popular airport so far, that would be John F. Kennedy International in New York.

Now the key for Microsoft will be keeping those players engaged and subscribed to Game Pass, something that could be achieved with new updates and DLCs.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
