Ubisoft’s God’s & Monsters seems to have a new name

Ubisoft has consistently delayed a set of upcoming games over the last couple of years, with Gods & Monsters being amongst them. The title was previously announced at E3 2019 and should release before Q2 2021, although when it does arrive, the game will be shipping under a different name.

Ubisoft previously confirmed that Gods & Monsters might not be the final name for the game earlier this year in a statement given to Kotaku. Ubisoft hasn't unveiled the new name officially, but the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee may have been them to the punch.

A new listing on the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee shows a new, previously unheard of game from Ubisoft tiled “Immortals: Fenyx Rising”, which was rated for both PC and consoles. This seems to be the new name for Ubisoft's Gods & Monsters.

Ubisoft has previously said that it plans to reveal more information about this game later ‘this summer', which is coming to an end quite soon. With that in mind, we should hear more in the next month or so.

KitGuru Says: This appears to be quite the dramatic title change, but it could work. Are any of you looking forward to seeing more of this game? What do you think of the new title?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
