Lies of P has gone Gold

Lies of P is the latest Souls-like to capture the hearts of fans, letting you play as the famous Pinocchio in a cruel, dark Belle Époque world. Ahead of the game’s full release on the 19th of September, the team at NEOWIZ have announced that the much-anticipated title has now gone Gold – securing its release date with little to no delays between now and then.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the team at NEOWIZ said “It is our genuine pleasure to announce that #LiesofP has Gone Gold. Truly, we cannot wait for your arrival in Krat on September 19. Even the Black Rabbit Brotherhood snuck in to help us thank everyone for your support.”

For the uninitiated, ‘Going Gold’ means that the Lies of P Master disc has been submitted to the game’s physical publisher Fireshine Games. Following the submission of the gold master, discs can be pressed with finalised software and digital storefronts can upload the ‘final’ version of the game ready for release. It’s a process that every game in development goes through, and means that (aside from post-launch patches) Lies of P is complete and ready to play.

As mentioned, Lies of P is a souls-like which has managed to separate itself from the crowd thanks to its unique concept and Bloodborne-esque atmosphere. Additionally, while the demo released was praised by fans, the team have confirmed that many gameplay improvements have been made since, making Lies of P even better. It will be interesting to see how the final game is received when it releases on the 19th of September.
