Assassin’s Creed 2 will be free to keep on uPlay starting tomorrow

Assassin's Creed 2 has long been considered to be the best in the original trilogy. If for some reason you never played it, or played it on a console and would now like to revisit it on PC, then this week is the perfect time, as Ubisoft is going to be giving the game away for free.

In recent weeks, Ubisoft has been giving away a few games for free on uPlay, including Rayman Legends and Child of Light. This week, Assassin's Creed 2 will be offered up for free and the other two games in the ‘Ezio trilogy', Brotherhood and Revelations, will be on sale at a discounted price too.

Do keep in mind that this is the original version of Assassin's Creed 2 and not the remaster that came exclusively to consoles a few years ago. Still on modern hardware, you should be able to run the game at its highest settings at a good frame rate.

Assassin's Creed 2 is due to be free to keep starting on Tuesday the 14th of April, so keep an eye out on uPlay tomorrow.

KitGuru Says: I never got around to finishing Assassin's Creed 2 on Xbox 360, so I may have to keep this on my radar. Did many of you play Assassin's Creed 2 back in the day? Are you considering replaying it on PC?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
