be quiet! unveils Light Base 500 LX and Light Base 500 PC cases

Today, two new be quiet! PC cases are ready to hit the market. Joining the Light Base series is the new Light Base 500 LX and the standard Light Base 500, both designed to offer clean aesthetics and superior airflow.

For those looking to piece together a rig with some visual flair, the Light Base 500 LX features ARGB lighting out of the box via the four pre-installed Light Wings LX 120mm fans. Three fans are side mounted with reverse fan blades on the intake side, and one standard-orientation fan in the rear. If you want to fill the remaining fan slots, then be quiet! has you covered with a new Pure Wings 3-fan bundle.

The standard Light Base 500 has the same pre-installed fan setup and overall design, but with non-RGB case fans instead.

One standout cooling feature is the angled slide-out fan frame, which you can use for some additional cooling directly to your graphics card. Users can further enhance airflow by installing additional fans in the lowered fan bay, which perfectly aligns with the case floor.

Internally, there is enough space for a 360mm radiator, an ATX motherboard and a graphics card up to 400mm long. There are dedicated slots for one HDD and two SATA SSDs, and plenty of space behind the motherboard tray for cable management. Those looking for an ultra-clean build will be pleased to know that the motherboard tray also supports backside connector motherboards, so this case will perfectly suit Asus BTF, MSI Project Zero or Gigabyte Project Stealth motherboards.

Dust filters can be found in the side and bottom of the case to protect your components from dust build-up.

The new be quiet! Light Base 500 and Light Base 500 LX will be available starting October 21st. The Light Base 500 LX White will cost €154.90, while the black version is €10 cheaper. Finally, there is the standard Light Base 500, which will be priced at €119.90.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
