Resident Evil 7 free ‘Not A Hero’ DLC delayed over quality concerns

Resident Evil 7 launched back in January to much acclaim from fans and critics alike. Since then though, many fans have been waiting on the ‘Not a Hero' DLC, a free epilogue expansion to the game starring Chris Redfield. This DLC was set to come out sometime this Spring but due to quality concerns, Capcom has announced today that it will miss its release window.

In a fairly blunt and straight forward video, Resident Evil 7's director and producer sat down to give a quick explanation, stating that the DLC currently does not match the quality of the main game. So to not disappoint fans, the DLC will no longer be releasing this Spring. There is currently no new release window for it but it should still arrive this year.

The ‘Not a Hero' DLC will see the return of Resident Evil character, Chris Redfield, who has appeared in as the protagonist in several other Resident Evil games. Aside from that one detail, Capcom has been very secretive about its new DLC, so fans aren't quite sure what to expect yet.

KitGuru Says: With Chris making a return in this DLC, It will be interesting to see what Capcom has planned. In this instance though, we are going to have to wait a bit longer. Hopefully we get an updated release date soon.
