Kojima reveals new details on upcoming espionage thriller ‘Physint’

Kojima is moving on from Death Stranding, putting his focus into multiple new projects. The first is a new horror game titled OD, which was just re-revealed with a new trailer this week. The second is titled Physint, and it is exactly what fans of Kojima's early work want to see – a return to the espionage thriller genre.

Kojima became famous around the world for his work on the Metal Gear Solid series. Now, he is making a long-awaited return to action-stealth gaming with Physint. Below, you can see the first poster for the game, which honestly looks good enough to serve as the final cover art:

As part of last night's Kojima Productions 10th Anniversary livestream, a few new details about the project were revealed. For instance, three actors have now been confirmed – Mary Jabassa (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Don Lee (Marvel Eternals) and Japanese actress Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One).

The game is still in the concept stage, but there are big plans in store for the game. As noted by Insider Gaming, Kojima is learning harder into Hollywood influences, with a portion of the work to take place on the Columbia Pictures soundstage. In all, it is shaping up to be an incredibly high-budget game, with Kojima taking full advantage of the resources he has obtained since leaving Konami in 2015.

KitGuru Says: While I'm not expecting ‘Metal Gear but different characters' from this, I think we are all excited to see Kojima return to stories around spies and espionage.
