The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are heading to VR

There has been a resurgence in TMNT video games in recent years. From the fantastic arcade collection to new action games like TMNT: Splintered Fate. Now, we are getting a TMNT VR game for the first time.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City has just been announced for virtual reality platforms. The game will be available on both the Meta Quest 3, as well as on Steam, so you can hook up any PC VR headset and get to playing.

Unfortunately, the reveal trailer shows us …. nothing. We see some 3D models of the various weapons used by the turtles, and their hands reaching for pizza slices and that is it. As this is a VR title though, we can expect a heavy focus on melee combat using VR motion controllers.

TMNT: Empire City is planned to release in 2026, so we've got a long ways to go before we'll be able to pick this up and try it for ourselves.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
