World of Warcraft Legion beta kicks off today

There has been so much talk surrounding World of Warcraft, Nostalrius and vanilla servers recently that it would have been easy to forget about the game's upcoming expansion, Legion. The alpha phase for the expansion wrapped up a little while ago and now, it is time to move on to the beta, ahead of the final launch on the 30th of August.

At around 2PM Pacific time in the US today, the Legion beta build will start going out to a select few. It features the new Demon Hunter class as well as all of the new zones that will be coming in the expansion.

The beta build also includes ten dungeons and two raids, as well as the new level cap, so there is quite a bit to get through and test prior to the launch later this year. Those in the beta aren't bound by NDA either, so we will likely get a good look at a lot of this stuff before August, which could help some decide if they are going to return to the MMO or not.

KitGuru Says: A lot of players returned to WoW for Warlords of Draenor but numbers did eventually dip once again. It will be interesting to see if Legion can hold returning player interest for longer this year. Are any of you planning on returning for Legion?
