Project Cars 2 announced, will launch later this year

Earlier this week, Slightly Mad Studios officially announced Project Cars 2, bringing the racing simulator back with more cars, more racing tracks and some impressive graphical enhancements. The game will be hitting PC as well as Xbox One and PS4, though PC will be getting VR support, along with support for resolutions as high as 12K.

Project Cars 2 will feature a new dynamic weather system, 170 new cars and 60 new tracks to drive on. Those with VR headsets will be able to enjoy the game that way while those with triple monitor setups will also be able to get the most out of this game. If you have a rig capable enough, then you could play this across three 4K monitors.

The short minute and a half trailer gives a rough idea of what the game will look like, while also showing off some new features, such as the weather system. Right now, Project Cars 2 has no specific release date but developers are targeting a ‘late 2017' launch, so expect to hear more as we get closer to the time.

KitGuru Says: I don't have much experience with racing games myself but I imagine something like this would be great in VR, or in a proper racing simulator setup with surround monitors and a wheel/pedals. Are many of you big into racing games? Will you be picking up Project Cars 2 when it comes out?
