Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut officially lands on Steam tomorrow. We've already covered the worldwide launch unlock times, but now it is time to focus our attention on the game's Steam Deck capabilities. If you own the handheld, you will indeed be able to play Ghost of Tsushima on it, however, the game does not have full Steam Deck verification, as the game's multiplayer functionality won't be available on the system. 

Ghost of Tsushima's single-player campaign, including the base game and Iki Island expansion, will be fully playable on Steam Deck. However, certain features will not be accessible. This is in part due to the new PSN network implementation, which requires Windows. As a result, Steam Deck users won't get access to the PSN overlay, or the Legends multiplayer mode.

We don't know exactly how well Ghost of Tsushima will run on Steam Deck hardware at this time, but previous PlayStation PC titles have ran well on the handheld, with one or two exceptions, the main one being The Last of Us Part 1, which struggles on many desktop PCs too.

As Ghost of Tsushima's multiplayer mode and PSN overlay features won't work via the Steam Deck's Proton tool, which is used to get DirectX games running on Linux, the game does not have Valve's full Steam Deck certification but Sony has confirmed that the single-player mode has been tested and works. If you are planning on playing the game on a Steam Deck, we would recommend starting off with the low graphics preset and then going from there.
