Customisable Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers now available

For years, Microsoft has offered players the opportunity to play their games using pro-level Xbox controllers, offering all things in the way of control customisability. Now, your Elite Xbox controller can match your personality, as Xbox’s Design Lab now features the Xbox Elite Series 2.

Making the announcement on the Xbox Wire blog, Daniel Ruiz, the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Xbox Accessories said “Since Xbox Design Lab launched in 2016, the number one fan request has been to include Elite controllers in our unique customization program to empower further personalization of our premium controller. Now you have billions of colorful ways to make the most customizable controller from Xbox unmistakably yours!”

In going to Xbox’s Design Lab, you will now be able to customise the colour of pretty much every single visible piece of the Elite Series 2 controller – except for its grips and the Xbox button. Still, this means that players can now customise the multiple different thumbsticks and d-pads, the back paddles, and even the carrying case itself.

The Xbox Design Lab Elite Series 2 controller will cost slightly more than a default Series 2 controller ($209.99 vs $179.99) though the relatively small premium over the base version will undoubtedly be worth it for many.
