Alan Wake seemingly teased for Dead By Daylight

13 years after the release of the first game, Alan Wake returned last year to a great deal of fanfare – launching a GOTY nominated sequel and a Fortnite crossover. 2024 looks set to continue the streak, with the multiplayer horror game Dead By Daylight seemingly teasing the arrival of Alan Wake.

Taking to Twitter, the official Dead By Daylight account released a brief video showcasing a flickering torch/flashlight on a wooden table alongside the caption “learn more on January 9.”

Though we won't have to wait very long at all in order to find out what exactly this teaser means, many fans have suggested that the flashlight is in reference to Alan Wake – who uses it as a core part of his arsenal.

Over the years, Dead By Daylight has amassed a great number of iconic horror characters, implementing them into the game as either Killers or Survivors. Just some of the featured characters include Michael Myers, Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Ash from Evil Dead, The Demogorgon. Pyramid Head, Nemesis, The Xenomorph, Chucky…and Nicolas Cage.

With the sheer variety of fictional horror characters available in Dead By Daylight, the addition of Alan Wake as a survivor would make a great deal of sense. Luckily we will find out later today exactly what the team at Behaviour Interactive have planned.
