Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 PC system requirements announced

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is now just a few weeks away from release. As a result, Infinity Ward has now revealed the final PC system requirements for the game, including the specs you'll need to run the game with Ray Tracing switched on.

As with most COD titles, the game is highly scalable to run on a wide range of devices. As a result, the minimum requirements for the game are very low, calling for just a GTX 970 or RX 470 and a 1st gen AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, or a 6th Gen Intel Core i5 processor.

Minimum requirements:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 / Intel Core i5-6600
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: Radeon RX 470 / GeForce GTX 970 / GTX 1060 / Intel Arc A580
  • VRAM: 3GB
  • Storage: 115GB SSD

Recommended requirements:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / Intel Core i7-8700K
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: Radeon RX 6600 XT / GeForce RTX 3060 Ti / Intel Arc B580

  • Storage: 115GB SSD

Ray tracing requirements:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X / Intel Core i7-10700K
  • RAM: 32GB
  • GPU: Radeon RX 9070 XT / GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
  • VRAM: 16GB
  • Storage: 115GB SSD

The recommended spec targets 90FPS in multiplayer on High settings, which explains the jump to mid‑range GPUs and 16GB of RAM. The ray tracing preset pushes things further with 32GB of memory and higher‑end GPUs for 4K upscaled visuals. Storage requirements remain heavy at 115GB, matching other recent Call of Duty releases.

Another thing to note is that nowadays, Call of Duty on PC requires that you have TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled.
