Hell is Us major update and Switch 2 port delayed, but only by a few weeks

Hell is Us has quietly found a much wider audience this month, with the game now available through Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus. That alone opens the doors for millions of new players to discover the game, but unfortunately, the planned Nintendo Switch 2 version won’t be arriving as early as expected.

In a statement shared on X this week, Rogue Factor said that they “want to say welcome and thank you to all the new players that are taking their first steps into Hadea through Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus”. The studio adds that it has seen player comments, virtual photography and reactions to the game’s major update announcement.

The team then confirms that the Nintendo Switch 2 version has been delayed, explaining that “due to logistical and distribution issues that are out of our control, we have to move the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Hell is Us to October 27th”. To ensure everyone gets access to the same experience at the same time, the release of the major update for all platforms has also been moved to 27th October. Rogue Factor stresses that “everything is done and ready on our end, there are no technical issues. The game is solid, stable, and we are very happy with the Nintendo Switch 2 port”.

While it is a shame the game won’t be coming to Switch 2 as early as planned, Hell is Us is worth the wait, especially if you are a fan of games that incentivise exploration, getting lost in the world and put immersion above all else.
