Yuzu expands custom keycap range with sculpted KLP Lamé profile

Custom keycap maker Yuzu has expanded its lineup with the open‑source KLP Lamé profile, offering a heavily sculpted option aimed at ergonomic keyboard users. Joining the company’s existing Cherry, KAM, PFF and PBS profiles, the new 1.5mm PBT keycaps use dye‑sublimated legends and can be fully customised through Yuzu’s online designer, with support for both Choc and MX layouts.

Designed for split and ergonomic keyboards, KLP Lamé (via TechPowerUP) uses varied row heights and angles to match finger positioning. Yuzu’s editor allows users to customise fonts, colours, symbols and even upload their own images.

Compatibility covers a wide range of split mechanical keyboards with options for both Choc and MX stems. Mixed configurations that combine Choc spacing with MX stems are not currently supported, so boards like the MoErgo Go60 with Choc V2 switches are excluded.

Yuzu offers two main kits: a 40% base set with 46 keys priced at $47, and a 58‑key 60% kit priced at $59. Additional single keycaps can be added through the designer for $0.75 each to accommodate non‑standard layouts.

KitGuru Says: KLP Lamé isn’t a widely available profile, so having a customisable option through Yuzu’s editor should be welcome news for ergonomic keyboard users. Have you tried this profile before?
