Ghostbusters is getting its own 4v1 multiplayer game

The Ghostbusters franchise has had a resurgence recently thanks to new films and now, we're finally getting a new Ghostbusters video game too. Developed by the studio behind Friday the 13th and Predator Hunting Grounds, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will be a 4v1 multiplayer game, with a 4-player ghostbuster squad and one player taking on the role of the ghost.

The player controlling the ghost will be able to fly, teleport, possess objects around the map and summon minions to throw the ghostbusters off. Both the Ghost and Ghostbuster characters will have their own skill trees too, so you can upgrade equipment and abilities.

Players that just want to practise, or play solo will be able to run the game in offline mode with bots. The matchmaking pool well get a boost for online multiplayer, as the game features full cross-play for all platforms.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will be releasing for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in Q4 2022.

KitGuru Says: I've put many hours into Dead by Daylight and the Friday the 13th game. This game seems to add some interesting new twists to gameplay, so I'll be looking forward to it later in the year.
