Death Stranding star confirms sequel in development

It has been a few years since Death Stranding first released and while there have been plenty of rumours about Kojima's next project, no announcements have been made yet. As it turns out, we should be getting a sequel to Death Stranding in the future, as confirmed by Norman Reedus.

Norman Reedus first began working with Kojima several years ago, back when he was still working on Silent Hill with Konami. Once Kojima left and formed his own studio, he called on Reedus again to star in Death Stranding as the main character, Sam Porter Bridges. Now, according to Reedus, Death Stranding Part Two is on the way.

During an interview with Leo, Reedus talked about how he met Kojima and first got involved with video game projects. After discussing working on the first game, Reedus added some extra information that we weren't expecting – Kojima Productions is working on ‘part two' of Death Stranding, confirming that a sequel is on the way.

According to Reedus, work on the new game “just started”, but we aren't sure if he means his motion capture work, or if the game is still in the early pre-production stage.

KitGuru Says: Death Stranding ended up being hugely successful, so it will be interesting to see what new ideas Kojima brings to the table in a sequel.
