Max Caulfield returns in Life is Strange: Double Exposure

The first Life is Strange introduced us to Max Caulfield and Chloe Price, two highly memorable characters who are beloved by many. While Chloe got her own spin-off prequel in LiS: Before the Storm, Max has been absent since the original 2015 title. In a surprise announcement at the Xbox Games Showcase, Square Enix and Deck Nine officially revealed Life is Strange: Double Exposure.

Arriving in just a few months on the 29th of October, Life is Strange: Double Exposure is set “several years” after the events of the first game and “sees Max return later in her life, now an artist-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University.”

Her power to rewind time has now evolved into “the ability to entirely Shift timelines” – which will of course play heavily into the narrative itself, as Max hops between two timelines in order to try and discover the identity of her friend’s murderer.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure arrives on the 29th of October, but those who pre-order the game’s Ultimate Edition will be able to get their hands on the title’s first two chapters two weeks early.

KitGuru says: The original Life is Strange was one of my favourite games of the past generation, and so it is exciting to see Max finally coming back. What do you think of the announcement?
