Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 delayed once again

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has not had the smoothest of times since its announcement all the way back in 2019. In the 5 years since, the game has changed development studios multiple times and suffered from a bunch of delays. Unfortunately, yet another has been announced, with Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 retreating into the night as the release date has now been pushed back to 2025.

Releasing a development update via a YouTube video and blogpost, Alex Skidmore – the Creative Director for Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 – and Deputy CEO for Paradox Interactive ‘Mattias Lilja’ shared the following statement:

“We have decided to extend development. This decision gives The Chinese Room extra time to spend on the game to deliver the best Bloodlines 2 they can. The game is in a good place right now, and Paradox and The Chinese Room have decided to prioritize polish over release date.”

Despite yet another delay, the team promised that this latest pushback will allow for additional content to be developed, including “more endings to the game, allowing it to be a more personal story,” while also giving the team space and time “to address feedback from our playtests in our user research lab and also to address the feedback we've been getting from all of you in response to our Dev Diaries and videos.”

Initially intended to release by the end of this year, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will now arrive some time in the first half of 2025. Of course, we will have to wait and see whether this’ll remain the case.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
