Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will have a new extraction-based mode called ‘Endgame’

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 now just days away from launch, Treyarch has begun to reveal more about the additional modes coming to the game. One of these new modes is Endgame, a new co-op experience that expands the story beyond the initial 11 campaign missions.

Endgame takes players into Avalon, a sprawling environment where JSOC squads continue their incursions against The Guild while contending with exposure zones leaking a mysterious toxin. Designed to be played in squads of up to four players, you'll take on dynamic assignments and earn rewards for completing them, all while trying to avoid other squads lurking across the map, as well as NPC enemies. It is a bit like DMZ, but expanded and improved upon and crucially, now expands on the main campaign, rather than being a standalone mode separate from the campaign.

Players begin Endgame by selecting one of up to 24 Operators and customizing a loadout that includes a main weapon, melee option, field equipment, and acquisitions carried over from previous runs. Workbenches scattered across Avalon allow weapons to be upgraded in rarity, boosting their effectiveness. Each operator can also select different major and minor abilities and unlock different skill tracks, so you'll be able to refine your loadout and playstyle as you go.

Endgame will be one of the core modes available to players on day-one when Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 releases across PC, PS5 and Xbox on the 14th of November.

KitGuru Says: This is the latest attempt at bringing an extraction-based mode to Call of Duty. It will be interesting to see how it does but as usual, I expect the majority to be playing traditional multiplayer modes, along with Warzone.
