Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 gameplay designer joins CDPR to work on Witcher 4

CD Projekt Red has been hard at work on the next major Witcher game for a long while now, with hundreds of developers now assigned to the project. CD Projekt Red isn't quite done hiring just yet though, with the company recently bringing on board the gameplay designer behind Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Karel Kolmann, one of the gameplay designers for Warhorse Studios during the development of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, has now joined CD Projekt Red as a Senior Quest Designer for The Witcher 4.

In this role, Kolmann will help in the creation of new quests scenarios that further the game's overarching narrative vision. We've already seen an example of what quests in The Witcher 4 may involve thanks to the recent gameplay slice shown earlier this year.

The Witcher 4 does not yet have a release date but production is well underway. Based on previous statements from higher-ups at CDPR, we shouldn't expect the game for a few more years at least.

KitGuru Says: The Witcher 3 will be fondly remembered as one of the best RPGs. Hopefully The Witcher 4 can further that legacy when it eventually arrives. Naturally, the quests will play a huge part in whether or not that happens.
