Saber Interactive reveals AAA John Wick game with Keanu Reeves

Saber Interactive had one of the biggest announcements during last night's State of Play showcase. The studio is now working on a AAA John Wick game and yes, Keanu Reeves will be reprising his role for it.

The John Wick films have been some of the best and most successful action movies of the past decade. While there has been one indie game utilising the IP, there has yet to be a full-scale AAA game starring our favourite unretired assassin. Saber's game is currently only known as ‘untitled John Wick game', and the trailer is primarily cinematic, although the text claims there is some gameplay footage sprinkled in:

This game is in development for current-generation consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as PC. That indicates that the developers are targeting a launch within the next few years, as there could be new generation console hardware after 2028.

The game will feature an original gameplay narrative set in the John Wick timeline years before the Impossible Task. It will expand on the franchise’s lore during that time with familiar characters fans already know and love, as well as compelling new ones created specifically for this production.

KitGuru Says: There is still a lot to learn about this game, including its final title, but if you are a fan of John Wick, this is something to look forward to in the coming years.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
