The Elder Scrolls Blades is shutting down in June

The Elder Scrolls Blades has been around for over seven years at this point but it has been years since the game last had any kind of major content update. Now, we never see new Blades content, as the game is officially shutting down.

In an announcement this month, Bethesda warned players that The Elder Scrolls Blades is shutting down on the 30th of June. Once that day comes, all online services will shut down and the game will no longer be accessible.

In the meantime, if you are still playing Blades, you will soon receive a pack of free currency and you will find that everything in the shop has been reduced in price to one gem. During this time, you should be able to pick up whatever you want from the store and see all of the content Blades had to offer while bypassing the ‘freemium' elements of the game.

The Elder Scrolls Blades was first announced in 2018 as a mobile-focused dungeon crawler with town-building elements. The game eventually landed on Nintendo Switch consoles in 2020 but did not make its way over to PlayStation, Xbox or PC.
