Google add animated GIF image search option

Google have added the option to search for animated GIF's in their image search. The new ‘animated' filter is now available on their image search.

We know how much Carl loves 'cat' images - so this is just for him

From this point today when you want to look for moving images, you head into ‘search tools' and then ‘animated' under type filter to search for animated GIF's.

The company have also added another ‘Transparent' search option under their ‘any color' dropdown menu which allows the user to search for images with transparent backgrounds.

Kitguru says: A welcome addition, however we expect home pages to be using even more animated GIF's now they are easier to find!
