Foxconn Q3 profit jumps by 140%

Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has reported impressive revenues of US$24.33 billion for third quarter 2012, with net profit rising 139.94% to $30.256 billion.

The results are very positive for the company who make many components for leading brands such as Apple. Although the profit figures are very high, the company have been in the news for the last two years for the wrong reasons, detailing suicides, fights and poor working conditions for their huge work force in China.

Apple even called in independent workforce auditors to confirm and improve the working conditions as their involvement with Foxconn was seen as very damaging.
